Closing ceremony:
The WorldSkills Lyon 2024 Closing Ceremony will take place on 15 September 2024 at the famous Groupama Stadium, France’s 3rd largest stadium in terms of capacity.
The Groupama Stadium hosts the biggest French and international sports and cultural events (Euro2016, Rugby World Cup 2023, concerts by major international artists…) It serves as the official stadium of the popular ‘Olympique Lyonnais’, the local soccer team, and offers an eclectic and rich programme throughout the year.
Like the LDLC Arena, the Groupama Stadium is located at the heart of OL Vallée.
If you don’t have the official ticket for the event, no worries! Just mention it in the form and we will include it in your package.
Accommodation:
- 2* hotels: Located in or near Lyon's city center, our hotel’s selection will guarantee you quality accommodation at low cost. Rooms can be booked as Single, Double or Twin, and breakfast is included.
- 3* hotels: Our 3-star hotels are located in the city center or on the outskirts of Lyon. Meeting 3-star standards of comfort and service, you will have possibility to choose between single, double or twin rooms, breakfast included.
- 4* hotels: We offer a large range of 4-star hotels, offering top of quality service and comfort. Located in the heart of Lyon, you ‘ll have choice between Single, Twin or Double rooms, including breakfast.
- Camping sites & Lodges: Located outside of Lyon, opt for comfortable accommodation in a green setting with top-quality facilities (mobile homes, lodges, etc.).
- Private Houses: Our private houses are located outside of Lyon and usually accessible by public transport even if some of them may require a car to reach the city centre and Eurexpo. This type of accommodation offers high range services, often with swimming-pool & garden, and is suitable for small groups who well know each other and who are looking for a place that feels like home.
Transportation:
Take advantage of our negotiated rates with the region's coach operators for your arrival and departure transfers, whether from the airport or the train station, as well as for your daily transfers to Eurexpo on competition days.
